Acceptable Use Policy

Users of BB Energy’s services provided through b-energy.co.za are required to assent and adhere to our Terms of Service and this Acceptable Use Policy. Any infringement of these regulations may result in service suspension or further disciplinary measures.

Security and Unlawful Activities:

BB Energy takes potential abuses of its services, particularly those involving security breaches and unlawful activities, extremely seriously. This policy mandates the responsible and lawful use of our services. Any activities that involve unauthorised access to other systems, attempts to compromise the security of our system, or the forgery of messages are not only unacceptable but are also deemed illegal.

Using BB Energy services to engage in any form of fraudulent activities, hacking, malicious behaviour, or harassment is strictly prohibited and might be considered a cybercrime under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (see ECT Act). Such offences can attract legal penalties including fines or imprisonment. Any interference with the proper functioning of systems reachable via the Internet is also prohibited. The forgery of email or any other messages is strictly forbidden.

BB Energy does not condone, support or facilitate any form of illegal material or behaviour.

Consequences of Inappropriate Activities:

In the event of detection of any inappropriate or illegal activities, all user accounts associated with the offending party will be immediately deactivated pending completion of an investigation. Prior notification to the user cannot be guaranteed. In severe cases, we reserve the right to escalate the issue to law enforcement authorities.

BB Energy upholds a stringent policy that enforces responsible use of its services. The act of breaching other systems, attempting to breach our systems, or forging messages is not only legally untenable but is also contrary to the expected behaviour of our userbase.

In the interest of protecting the integrity of our services and maintaining a secure environment for all our customers, our policy is to deactivate first and ask questions later when dealing with potential security and legal violations. We believe that this is an essential approach in protecting the quality of our services for all our valued customers.
